Matthias Mader started the game's scoring in the second period and Emil Obstfelder evened it in the third for Wisconsin Rapids. Anyon Bennett stopped 29 of 30 shots for the win for Minnesota, and for the Riverkings, Dominic Hite stopped 32 of 34 shots. Game 2 is at 7:15 CST on Saturday.
