When it comes to larch hikes in Washington, I am in search of a few things: ➡️Something close to home and under a 3 hour drive one way to get to ➡️The trailhead and trail isn’t crazy busy ➡️The mileage and gain is doable in a day There’s a reason HMPL, Blue Lake, and Lake Ingalls are all crazy busy, especially during larch season. But I am always in search of lesser known larch trails, and thanks to friends and the trail knowledge they have, I’d say this past weekend’s hike will be added to my underrated larch hikes list! It didn’t quite meet all my requirements (it shares a TH with Ingalls) but we only saw a handful of ppl on the trail, so it’s a win for me.
