Protests at Tesla showrooms nationwide are growing in size as anger builds against Elon Musk and actions taken by his DOGE, with hundreds demonstrating in Sunnyvale each weekend, miles from the company’s original Silicon Valley headquarters. Protesters also rallied Saturday outside showrooms in Santa Rosa and San Francisco.
The demonstration in Silicon Valley, where Tesla began, is part of a nationwide campaign — with some protests even occurring in Iceland, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands and Finland — that organizers are calling the
#TeslaTakedown, attracting thousands equipped with signs criticizing Musk and President Donald Trump outside the electric vehicle dealerships.
Robert Campbell, an organizer of the Sunnyvale protest, said he’s seen more people coming to the demonstrations each Saturday, which began five weeks ago, with many saying they will return every week.
