Congratulations to Morgan Parfaite, who had a very good meet at the Nike Indoor Nationals in New York this weekend. Morgan qualified for the 60m finals, running 7.72 in the semis and placing in 6th. She later finished 7th overall in the 60m Emerging Elite Finals. The Emerging Elite Division allows athletes who are close to the Championship standard to compete at a high level. Students must be accepted into the Emerging Elite category after meeting certain qualifying standards.  Morgan also competed as a new member of the Championship Division in the 200m (she placed 19th with a new personal record), the 4x200m relay (her team placed 13th and is now ranked in the Top 50 nationally), and placed 8th as part a 4x400m relay team (the team is now ranked in the top 25 nationally).
