The REAL purpose of the NFL combine ⬇️ The NFL Combine is a cross between speed dating and a cattle auction. It is a three-day marathon of medical checks, interviews, and constant evaluation. The 40-yard dash and bench press get all the attention, but 80% of the process happens behind closed doors. Before I even sat down with NFL coaches, they were throwing plays at me: “Alright, 36 Power. Draw it up—how’s it blocked?” We did not run Power at Hillsdale. I had to figure it out in the moment. That meant fullback on the Sam, backside guard pulls for the Mike… and if I hesitated, they knew. I couldn’t control what they threw at me.
