🎨 Meet our 2025 True Blue Fellow, Austin Picinich, and his project, Save Our Salmon (SOS) Coalition Mural Series! Through large-scale murals, Save Our Salmon (SOS) brings communities together to celebrate and protect salmon. With five murals completed and three more in the works, Austin has already engaged 1,400 painters and 5,000 event attendees. Now, he’s taking SOS to the next level—launching a training program to help other communities create their own murals, expanding Salmon in Schools to 10+ more schools, mentoring young artists, and growing SOS merchandise beyond Seattle to support conservation efforts. With a new website on the way (salmonmurals.org), SOS is making waves in ocean advocacy. As a True Blue Fellow, Austin receives mentorship, capacity building, and funding to expand his work.
