The classical guitar program held its spring concert on Tuesday in the MAC. The beginner ensemble performed at the guitar concert, conducted by Andrew Clark. Janie Gravette, in her first year playing guitar, is part of the ensemble. “It’s been a lot of fun to listen to the music everybody has been working on,” she said. “I also enjoyed watching all the other ensembles and small groups perform.” Gravette hopes to go on with guitar and join the intermediate or advanced ensemble next year. Shirel Bahar played “Misirlou” with her quartet. Behar said the piece was more complex and took more time to prepare than the piece her quartet played a year ago. “We were keeping it very close with this one, and we weren’t as prepared as quickly as we were last time,” Behard said. Despite these concerns, the quartet performed well. “We rehearsed a lot and got it ready in time.
