However, the recent news of West Ada School District teacher Sarah Inama being asked to remove an “Everyone is welcome here” sign got my attention. I’m surprised the most that this has to be addressed at all. Being warm and welcoming is inherently NOT controversial. It’s the standard (or should be), and is especially important for children and students to learn at a young age. Let’s be better. Let’s be the city and state that welcomes and respects people of any background and race.
