I’ve always turned to art to find peace. At this time in 2017, I was just laid-off and trying to fill my days with meaning. Because like so many, I used to tie my intrinsic value to my job title and company. This mcachicago exhibit was my first time seeing works from takashipom live. They were beautiful. Larger than me, both in concept and stature. It made me feel small. It grounded me. Sometimes we feel the weight of situations and outcomes far outside our control, I’m personally guilty of this.
