I broke it down into what I have dubbed the “pancake pyramid”. Here goes:
🔹 GPP (General Physical Preparedness): Sled drags, hill sprints, loaded carries, mobility, and plyos. Your body needs to handle force before it can generate it.
🔹 Powerlifting: Squats, deadlifts, cleans, and heavy carries. Max strength keeps you from getting displaced in the trenches.
🔹 Position-Specific Strength: Landmine presses, sled punches, and isometric pass-set holds. Strength must translate to dominance on the field.
🔹 Drills & IQ: Footwork, strike-to-recoil mechanics, and film study. The details separate good from great.
