For the past two years, Syracuse center Eddie Lampkin Jr. has texted with former NC State center DJ Burns. He has grown to appreciate their relationship, especially after Burns led the Wolfpack to a Final Four appearance a year ago.⁠ ⁠ Despite Syracuse’s underwhelming season, Lampkin is using Burns' run as motivation entering the postseason, hoping to keep SU's season and his college career alive. In his eyes, he has all the tools necessary to replicate Burns’ Cinderella story with the Orange.⁠ ⁠ “I feel like I can do what he did last year.
