Let the games begin! Oberlin College and the City of Oberlin officially opened Ecolympics on March 2 with a one-mile torch fun run, food, t-shirts, and information tables at the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies. This year’s theme is Local Action for Global Change. Ecolympics is an annual community resource reduction competition and event series that aims to minimize water and electricity usage through behavior change. The competition challenges participants from the college and the community to strive for environmental action at both the individual and local levels.
