The JV-A girls soccer team beat the Cedar Creek Eagles at home on Friday, Feb. 7, 3-0. Freshman center-holding midfielder Sylvia Hurtado thought the game went well overall despite missing a couple of players. Due to the fact that there were a couple of players missing, some players for JV-B played up with the JV-A squad. “Everyone did a good job of covering those spots,” Hurtado said. “As a team, we did a good job trusting each other and communicating.” Trusting each other is important for the team and Hurtado as a captain because without being able to trust each other, everyone would work individually, and not as a team.
