The JSerra Athletic Administration is proud to announce Luciana Shafer (’08) as the second inductee into the JSerra Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025. A standout outside hitter for the girls’ volleyball team, Shafer was among JSerra’s first exceptional athletes during the school’s early years. She earned All-Trinity League First Team honors in both 2006 and 2007—the inaugural seasons of JSerra Girls Volleyball in the Trinity League. A four-year scholar-athlete, Shafer made history as JSerra’s first female athlete to compete at the NCAA Division I level, playing volleyball at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, before transferring to North Carolina State.
