A cool and calm tone can be found in the work of Charles S. Corson.
Thick impasto strokes dictate the surface and prove a near geometric rendering of the area just beyond the turquoise grassland and under a rosy sky. Soft lavender hues are dispersed through the painting, speckled across the dirt road that stretches left, alongside a canal that blends so seamlessly into the landscape it takes a second glance to pick out.
