On Monday, March 17th, Cam Ellsworth announced that he will be stepping down as the head coach for the men’s ice hockey team at Norwich University.
The decision comes as Ellsworth made the decision to pursue new professional endeavors and step away from coaching.
Over the course of his seven seasons behind the bench, Ellsworth guided the Cadets to a 115-39-9 record (.720) that included one
#NEHC Regular Season title and two Mariano Cups. The team saw three
#NCAA Tournament appearances in that span including being National Runner-Up in 2019.
Ellsworth saw his teams and players earn plenty of accomplishments in his tenure including a National POTY, three Academic All-Americans, four
#NEHC POTY and five All-Americans. The teams over the last seven seasons have established nine
#NCAA records as well as Ellsworth winning the 2019-2020
#NEHC COTY & the
#AHCA Ed Jeremiah Award, given to the National Division III COTY.
The Cadets will be moving to the Little East Conference for the 2025-20...
