Referees deserve love and photos, and this opening lap shot maybe(?) almost(?) makes being an official an enviable position.
2 // TMU Hockey, February 16th.
My first step into sports photography happened here on March 12th, 2022. It’s always a thrill to know I’m photographing in what was once the Maple Leaf Gardens.
3 // IIHF Women’s World Championships, Team Hungary, April 7th.
Photographing the highest level of women’s hockey and getting to work for a federation with *the best fans* I’ve ever witnessed: proud, passionate, tireless.
4 // “Sizwe Banzi is Dead”, Soulpepper Theatre, June 1st.
I don’t miss acting but my love for theatre and its stories being told by people who need to tell them is ever-growing. Amaka Umeh and Tawiah M-M’Carthy were *phenomenal* in this resilient comedy set in apartheid-era South Africa.
