Students from professor June Oh’s “Musical Cultures and Songwriting” course enjoyed spring break in London. The class attended performances by the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Hall, a Royal Ballet production of “Romeo and Juliet” at the Royal Opera House, and a West End performance of “Wicked, the Musical.” The class visited the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Handel/Hendrix Museum. They also attended an Evensong service at Westminster Abbey and went on a Thames river cruise. The group covered many miles visiting Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace gardens, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Soho, Camden Market, and the Abbey Road crossing! #ThisIsDUC
