According to Storyful, a team of surf fishermen reeled in a great white shark on a beach on Hatteras Island, North Carolina, on Saturday, March 15. Dan Rothermel and Luke Beard captured footage of the fearsome fish. Rothermel estimated the shark to be 12 to 13 feet and between 1,000 to 1,400 pounds. #shark #greatwhite #fishing Rothermel told Storyful Beard was the person who originally hooked the shark. He told the local news outlet Island Free Press that the shark jumped when it “first got hooked” and they were pretty sure it was a great white. Once they saw the shape and size of its dorsal fin, they were able to confirm that suspicion.
