Did you also go down the rabbit hole of... ballet? da:ns focus – Ballet by the Bay presented our first full-length ballet in 7 years, by an Asian ballet company too! hongkongballet treated us to a spectacular interpretation of Alice in Wonderland, complete with elaborate costumes, highly entertaining choreography and 99 cute kids from SG, in the Esplanade Theatre. The ever-popular Ballet 101 also returned, this time to the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre. Conceptualised by etienneferrere and rosaparkinside, this showcase introduced the basics of ballet, through excerpts performed by chihiro.uchida_, Kenya Nakamura, pia.custodio, mani.0128 and students from sotasg.
