@Texas A&M University
Texas A&M University is home to the only Apiculture program in Texas and has one of the country's largest honey bee research labs. Dr. Juliana Rangel, professor, and Ph.D. Candidate, Jordan Twombly Ellis '21, are racing to eradicate the varroa mite and save America's honeybee population. Honeybees pollinate a third of the food we consume, and varroa mites are invading the honey bee population by storm. Their mission is to educate the public about honey bees' importance and their vital role in our ecosystem and everyday lives. This video was originally produced by @KAMUPublicBroadcasting .
