Creating our viral boozy affogato but with a sweet banana bread twist☕ Banana Bread Simple Syrup: Ingredients * 1 mashed banana (extra ripe) * 3/4 cup granulated sugar * 3/4 cup water * 1 tsp. cinnamon * pinch of salt * 1/4 cup brown sugar * 1 tsp. vanilla extract * Combine mashed banana, water, granulated sugar, cinnamon and salt in a pot and bring to a boil. (To achieve a smooth syrup, blend mashed banana with the water using an immersion blender before adding the ingredients, or while pot of ingredients are still liquidy and thin) * Once boiling, reduce heat and whisk in brown sugar and vanilla extract * Once combined, remove from heat for 5 minutes to thicken. * Store syrup in a mason jar.
