Thirsty? You’re in luck — because for week two of our
#SummerOfRestStops series, we’re taking a detour to the legendary POPS 66 Soda Ranch in Arcadia, Oklahoma!
When you’re in road trip mode, there’s nothing like a frosty soda to refresh you on your journey. But when there are 700+ flavors to choose from, it’s no small decision.
@pops.66 turns road trip refreshment into high art, with quirky flavors like bacon, teriyaki beef jerky and buffalo wing as well as tried-and-true favorites like root beer (60 varieties, to be exact).
It’s a Route 66 tradition to snap a photo with the location’s 66-foot tall glowing soda bottle, whose multicolor LED lights can be seen from a distance in the Oklahoma dusk. But while this landmark really shines at night, we think any time of day is a good time to visit. Inside, you’ll find classic diner fare and ice cream sundaes to complement your fizzy drink… if you can choose just one!
Which soda would you like to sample at POPS?
