Greek life at Penn State is entering a new era with the State College Interfraternity Council (SCIFC).
Some of the rules imposed on fraternities downtown are considered excessive, and students are banding together, encouraging other chapters to follow their lead. The council has partnered with Standing Stone Consulting for event security and risk management.
SCIFC President Sam Lanza states, “We’re creating a fraternity experience that is stronger, safer, and more meaningful—without the excessive rules that have held us back. We welcome any fraternity that shares our vision to join us.”
Spring rush restrictions, a limited number of socials, and other university-imposed rules may soon be a thing of the past for PSU fraternities.
