100 years ago, our founder Eglantyne Jebb, penned and petitioned “The Declaration of the Rights of the Child” into law. To celebrate, we hosted art workshops around the world where children have full creative control to decorate their self-portraits and express their views and hopes for the world in another 100 years.
Reflect on the passionate
#poetry and
#mosaic portraits created by children who escaped Syria after losing their homes to earthquakes and violence. Now living in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan, they attend Save the Children’s Adolescent Girls Empowerment Center where they are taught in topics like sexual and reproductive health and rights, languages, art, yoga, and self-defense.
