Today we had the opportunity to fly one of Pensacola’s hometown heroes, Sharon Darlene Hart, prior to the Pensacola Homecoming Air Show.
Darlene began her career in the transportation department of the Escambia County School District in 1993 as a bus assistant. In 2002, she transitioned to a substitute school bus operator and has since advanced through various roles to become the Director of Transportation. In her current position, Ms. Hart oversees the transportation of over 23,000 students daily throughout Escambia County to 53 schools and centers. Her responsibilities encompass not only the daily transportation to and from school but also a comprehensive range of curricular and extracurricular activities, including field trips and athletic events.
