Today we had the opportunity to fly one of Houston’s hometown heroes, Amy Ramon, prior to the Houston Air Show. Fire Chief Amy Ramon has dedicated over 30 years to public safety, legal service and community leadership in the greater Houston area. As Fire Chief of Harris County Emergency Services District No. 9 dba Cy-Fair Fire Department, she leads a department that serves nearly 600,000 residents across 164 square miles, managing 13 fire stations that respond to more than 40,800 calls annually. Chief Ramon is not only a experienced leader, but also a hometown hero with deep community roots. She has become a trailblazer as one of the first female fire chiefs in the region and a driving force behind community programs that directly impact thousands of residents.
