I’ve read the books, watched the movies and have learned a great deal about leadership. Repost from natgeo • Said to be one of the strongest wooden ships of its day, the Endurance was the perfect vessel for Ernest Shackleton’s adventure. But at 5 p.m. on November 21, 1915, the crew, encamped on an ice floe and watching in horror, spotted the stern rise into the air. “She’s gone, boys,” was all Shackleton could muster as the ship slid down to her frigid grave. In the above images, photographer Frank Hurley documented the Endurance’s final days and the crew’s incredible journey of survival. No one ever expected to see the stout little ship again. Until its incredible discovery in 2022. Uncover the story in #EnduranceFilm, now streaming on DisneyPlus and hulu.
