Once, a dear friend told me that our home felt like a warm hug and it meant everything to me. Having a welcoming and playful home is perhaps one of the most important things to me. I have teens and a tween now, and keeping things open, playful and welcoming is even more important to me than when they were small. Big transitions are on the horizon and I’m just soaking in my kids and their friends, the chatter, the mess and chaos while I can. Their bodies grow, their minds evolve, friend groups shift and worlds widen. The only constant is change.
