POV: You've been biking, jogging, & heavy lifting all week, and your quads are COOKED.
Try this...
All you need is a roller, a solid glute squeeze, and a little stoicism.
Start by getting into an isometric hold: squeeze your glutes, lean forward, and drive your knee into the ground at your end range.
Being able to take full breaths here is your brain's way of saying, "Okay, it's safe to open up these tissues."
Then, take the roller into the middle of your quads and alternate between contracting the muscle and letting it completely relax (I aim for about 3 min per leg).
This combo breaks up the stubborn tone and gradually improves mobility so that you can hit that bike ride even harder next time.
Give it a try, and let us know how it goes!
