Part 3 of 21 | My Body, My Timeline About 1.5 months before my anticipated egg retrieval date to freeze my eggs, I had the initial phone call conversation with my PA & we discussed: 1. Ordering genetic testing via an at home kit 2. Setting up dates for bloodwork to capture my baseline hormone levels (took place in NYC at Labcorp) 3. Starting birth control pill about 1 month prior to meds 4. Confirming a 14 day window for me to begin medications & anticipated retrieval date Fun fact: I have the IUD Mirena and I did not have to remove the IUD. My doctor was able to use my lab work to capture when I should start 1 month of pill form birth control.
