It grows in cooler weather and loves damp soil. It has a delicate flavor that many will agree is reminiscent of corn silk. It’s been used traditionally for many purpose such as: Digestive and intestinal support - it’s high in fiber and may assist in the absorption of other nutrients. Anti-inflammatory and pain reliever Cooling treatment for skin ailments - think burns, insect bites, rashes. It has also traditionally been used to draw out splinters. Kidney support - traditionally the tea is used for its diuretic properties.
