🌞One morning, when I was a child, I woke to see my mother standing in my bedroom doorway cradling an enormous boletus mushroom in her arms. 🍄‍🟫Don’t ask me how, but she’d managed to forage it in a mossy patch of the Appalachian forest that surrounded our Kentucky home. It’s one of my favorite core memories, my mother holding that giant boletus. I’d never seen anything so beautiful! That boletus sparked my lifelong love for mushrooms. So when Enchanted Living faeriemagazine decided to devote their spring issue to my favorite topic and asked me to create four brand-new original mushroom-themed desserts for it, I knew I wanted to re-create that memory for the first time.
