Oh, Christmas Tree! 🎄 How lovely are your gingerbread branches! This stacked cookie Christmas tree is a blast from my past! My grandmother made them growing up! I remember vividly the first time I got to make one! It was such a fun day! ½ cup unsalted butter - softened (or shortening) ⅔ cup light brown sugar 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting 1 tablespoon ground ginger 1 ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon ⅛ teaspoon salt 1/2 cup heavy cream (or any milk) ½ cup molasses Add the flour, ginger, cinnamon, and salt to a large mixing bowl. Sift to combine. Set aside. Cream together the butter and the sugar with your electric mixer until just combined. Scrape down the sides. Add the molasses and milk. Stir on low until well incorporated. Add in the flour slowly. I like to use a large spoon and add a spoonful at a time until there’s no flour left.
