It’s my birthday! 🥳✨🪄So, I’m sharing one of my favorite cakes ever to celebrate! Witch hat marzipan mushrooms and cake crumb moss oh MY!!!! 🧙🏻‍♀️🍀✨Marzipan is easy to work with (like clay). You can manipulate it into any shape you’d like and then it takes color well. I paint mine after I’ve shaped it, but you can also add color directly to the dough. The cake is my browned pumpkin butter cake. The brown sugar frosting is in between each layer and on the outside of the cake. The cake is completely covered in green cake crumbs broken up to look like moss! Such an easy trick just use your favorite food coloring in your white cake. Once it’s cooked and cooled just begin tearing it up between your fingers! It’s amazing how quickly it starts to resemble moss! I then added whimsical & safe florals from the tea garden!
