You know those cute little strawberries that grow in your yard? Chances are they’re Mock Strawberries! Also known as false strawberries, Indian strawberries, or Potentilla indica by proper name! You can distinguish them from true wild strawberries by looking at their blooms. Wild strawberries have white blooms where mock strawberries have yellow blooms! Look up a picture if you’re any bit unsure! Now, you may have heard growing up that these little cuties aren’t edible. While they are not tasty they definitely are edible - in moderation and with consideration. Remember some people are allergic to regular strawberries. Always use wisdom when foraging!
