To my London friends, TM Projects presents ‘Of this elusive, I’m an accomplice’, a solo exhibition of Arthur Lemonier, organised in collaboration with the Art Office, an art advisory and project space based in Primrose Hill, London. This is the first exhibition of Arthur’s work to appear in London, and features his raw portraits inspired by profound exploration of the ambiguous reality of our own bodies and emotions. In each piece, a lived emotion is documented: fear, threat, disturbance, and pleasure. There is a discomfort in looking in the face of these emotions. In this ambiguity, each work becomes a mirror.
