In focus, shaelektro Alex has been one of Heilung's drummers from the first hour. Before any word is sung, Alex is the first to enter the stage for the ritual smudging. This happens before and after each ceremony and completes the ritual. About being a part of Heilung, Alex says: "Since I was young, when I went out to the mountains in Chile to find my roots, I found the fire, the smoke, the drum and the song and I found that I wanted to become a "sonic hunter". The smoke and the drums took me all over America and after that to Denmark. There I got hunted by a pair of Vikings, Christopher and Kai, after one of my solo performances. They invited me to bring with me the smoke, my drum and all the sounds hunted on my journey to participate in the great Heilung ritual..."
