It was an incredible honor and privilege to walk for Red Berry Woman at Phoenix Fashion Week. Her fashion line masterfully blends Native American traditional garment styles with contemporary couture and ready-to-wear collections for both men and women. Red Berry Woman was founded by Norma Baker-Flying Horse, an enrolled member of the Hidatsa tribe, and a member of the Dakota Sioux, Assiniboine tribes, and adopted by the Crow Nation. Norma’s brand has received numerous accolades, including the 2020 International Designer of the Year, 2022 Phoenix Fashion Week Designer of the Year, and co-recipient of the 2022 Cultural Recognition Visual Arts Grammy Award. Through her work, Norma, whose Native name is Red Berry Woman, seeks to create designs that honor and celebrate her tribal heritage.
