Cherry blossom season is almost here, Toronto! The city's parks will soon be filled with beautiful pink and white blooms. 🌸 Local cherry blossom expert Steven Joniak, aka Sakura Steve, runs the guide Sakura in High Park and has shared a timeline for this year's bloom. According to Joniak, thanks to a more typical winter, we can expect the blossoms to bloom in late April to early May. 📅 Of course, Toronto’s unpredictable weather could shift things. Warmer temperatures could bring the bloom earlier, while a cold snap or polar vortex could delay it. ☀️❄️ In exciting news, High Park has new cherry trees, but Joniak urges visitors to respect them as they grow. 🌳 Once the blooms appear, you’ll have about four to ten days to enjoy them at their peak, though rain, winds, or extreme temperatures could shorten this time. 😍 Get ready for those stunning afternoon walks, Toronto! 🚶 Photo via fareenkay #curiocitytoronto #highpark #cherryblossoms
