One of the coolest spots to see in Jaipur is the Amer Fort (also called the Amber Fort).
It’s a trek to get there but the things along the journey to the fort are equally as awesome. On our drive we saw camels being walked and we stopped and met Carlos the Cobra which was unique. We also climbed stairs against ancient walls and saw goats and cows hanging out everywhere. We stopped at Panna Mian Ka Kund which is an ancient stepwell that is still used as a pool today that’s 80m deep. We continued up the stairs to which I almost passed out because it’s a quick high climb but we made to Amer Fort and WOW the view from the stop was incredible of the fort and the surrounding area. There was so much Rajpul and Mughal influence in the architecture. It was stunning. Real gold was used in the designs on the walls. Unlike the Taj Mahal, this has not been stripped and was stunning to see.
