Kimes Ranch is all about family, community, and our world. We think that one of our very own student athletes truly embodies this!
Ryker Sarchett at only 16-years-old, took a huge leap to share the western lifestyle and put forth a helping hand this past year. This opportunity came to light when a friend of his contacted Ryker and his family for help at a local orphanage in Tanzania. While he was there, he assisted with painting walls and planting trees, and of course, he shared his love for roping by teaching the children how to swing a rope.
Not many people Ryker’s age would feel comfortable going so far from home, he said, “It seemed way too far and too much for me, but when our friend asked for help at her orphanage, it was an opportunity I couldn’t say no to.”
He encourages kids his age to get out of their comfort zone and his advice is, “Don’t think about what other people would do, think about what Jesus would do and go from there.”
Congratulations to Ryker and his family, w...
