On the recent episode of WhatsHood podcast, #Morray elaborated more on his tweet about record label issues he was facing. “I just signed the paperwork; my manager assured me he had everything under control,” he said. Although his manager had connected him with a label that was part of a joint venture with #Interscope, Morray started having issues which stopped him from releasing new music. Having moved past that deal, he now mentors other artists to not make the same mistake. “Make sure to hire your own lawyer and assemble a team that operates independently of the label, as their interests always come first” he tells artists new to the scene. Todays, Morray is in a much stronger position. He just released his new album, ‘Long Story Short’ with #EMPIRE, owns his masters, and is fully engaged in his career. “I wish I had known more about what I was getting into.
