Did you know Idaho has a Geyser? It’s true! Located in Soda Springs in Southeast Idaho it’s the world’s only captive geyser. It was first discovered when drilling for a swimming pool almost 90 years ago. Shortly after the geyser was found, the city of Soda Spring received a telegram asking them to turn off the geyser because it was throwing off the timing of “Old Faithful” in Yellowstone. The geyser blows 70-100 feet into the air and is open to the public year-round with no fees.
