After two years, the team at Gazoo Racing have decided to make some informed improvements to the #Toyota GR Corolla for 2025. Beyond the addition of the eight-speed automatic transmission tested here, the turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-three engine’s output has increased to 300 hp and 295 lb-ft. Suspension has been revised with rebound springs built into the shock absorbers, the relocation of the trailing arms, progressive-rate rear springs, and a slimmer rear anti-roll bar. The track-mode differential split is now variable between 60:40 front-to-rear and 30:70. The character of the gravel-bred hatchback hasn’t changed, but it is surely maturing.
