Human rights are universal and must be upheld for everyone, everywhere. Yet, millions of refugees and immigrants face violations of these rights daily.⁠ ⁠ In transit, migrants endure dangerous journeys, arbitrary detention, and discriminatory profiling. Women and children are especially vulnerable to gender-based violence and exploitation.⁠ ⁠ Borders are not exceptions to human rights. Countries and states alike must guarantee dignity, safety, and justice for all.
