So many passing faces, a fragment of their lives frozen in time by my camera lens. Each person with different passions, responsibilities, goals, hopes and dreams. People from a culture far away, a world so different than my own and yet in many ways, we’re very similar. I’ll never see these faces again in this lifetime, and that’s quite a sobering thought. They will go on to experience both the joys of life as well as the trials it will inevitably bring. No culture, nor people are immune to the fast paced nature that life has become in the 21st century. We have become so focused on our destination that we forget to stop and pay attention to the individuals right in front of us along the journey. Instead of living our lives in a hurry jumping from obligation to obligation, what would happen if we slowed down and invested in the person directly in front of us?
