We 🧡 our nurses! It's a deep appreciation that stems from our organization's first days in Arizona. When they were in need of trained nurses for their young and growing hospital, St. Joseph's, the Sisters of Mercy opened Arizona’s first nursing school in 1910. St. Joseph’s School of Nursing marked the beginning of Dignity Health in Arizona's strong commitment to education. During its 60 years of operations, more than 1,250 nurses graduated from the school.
