After spending two years rarely playing at LSU, Rickie Collins transferred to Syracuse with the intent of replacing Kyle McCord. Collins enters spring practice as a bit of a wild card, since he hasn’t thrown for a collegiate touchdown yet.
However, throughout SU’s first spring practice, Collins built rapport with multiple top weapons. As he competes for the starting spot with Michael Johnson Jr. and Jakhari Williams, Collins showed glimpses into a new era of Syracuse football.
“We all know what’s at stake this spring,” Collins said Friday. “We all know what we want. We all want to be the guy.”
