Real People…Real Stories: BMAC was proud to support Tottress Beasley with a direct economic grant. Tottress Beasley took almost nothing when she fled her Pasadena home. She regrets not grabbing a framed picture of her mother, who died when Beasley was 8. “Before the fire I was cleaning my walls and I said to myself, ‘If anything ever happens, I better take my mom’s picture off the wall,” say says, “And then I didn’t take it.” Beasley bought her home on her own and paid off the home on January 7, 2025.
